What Is GeeGuides?
GeeGuides, a cutting-edge educational company, developed an entertaining interactive art education system designed to provide children with the tools necessary to understand, interpret, enjoy, and create art. Developed by professionals from the animation and audio industries, GeeGuides consists of fun, animated and interactive programs, which run on computers. The component of seeART takes this knowledge a step further into meaning and interpretation, gaining understanding through the exposure to art, and exploring how art has been a visual language for artists throughout history.
The third component, doART, provides a springboard for self-expression as the children take what they have learned and delve into their own artistic ideas. The interactive art activities, geared for the home or classroom, use both traditional and digital media. GeeGuides comes packaged with Corel’s Painter Essentials 3. Recognized as the leader in digital painting, this easy-to-use program is highly realistic, allowing the user to mix paints and work them as they dry. User can choose different brushes, pencils, chalks, acrylics, oils and even watercolors, which react as they really would on different surfaces. Students love the undo feature and parents and teachers love the no-mess aspect.
