geeART16 Art Curriculum Successfully Reviewed by California Learning Resource Network
Curriculum now available to California EducatorsDURANGO, Colo. – The GeeGuides geeART16 interactive art curriculum received industry recognition after a successful review conducted by CLRN, a state-funded project of the California Department of Education. This award-winning curriculum is now posted on the CLRN site as a supplemental electronic learning resource. CLRN reviews supplemental electronic learning resources such as software, video, and internet resources to help California educators find learning resources that align to the state academic content standards. These resources can be compared on an interactive web site, which provides information about electronic learning resources through an online searchable database. The http://clrn.org site also has links to state education technology projects and resources.
“We are pleased to add geeART16 to the list of materials that meet our review standards for all California educators,” says Ellis Vance, CLRN Director. “It’s cutting-edge, innovative materials like this that help our schools find the supplemental resources they need to help integrate technology in the classroom and enhance the learning experience for California’s students.”
“We are thrilled to be successfully reviewed by CLRN and included on the CLRN site as supplemental electronic learning resource for California schools,” says Randy Parker, COO for GeeGuides. “We want to thank all those educators who reviewed and test drove the geeART16 curriculum, looking at all aspects of the many wonderful features this curriculum offers that help make teachers’ jobs easier and learning more fun.”

About the California Learning Resource Network
In December of 1999, the California Department of Education awarded the SETS (Statewide Education Technology Services) Learning Resource contract to Stanislaus County Office of Education as LEA (Local Education Agency), with partner county offices of education in Glenn, Humboldt, Kings, Orange, Sacramento, and San Diego. CLRN provides educators with a "one-stop" resource for critical information needed for the selection of supplemental electronic learning resources aligned to the State Board of Education academic content standards.
California Educators with specific content experience are selected through an application process to act as reviewers once they have completed a rigorous training program. The review process utilizes the State Board of Education approved review criteria, which covers three areas: Legal Compliance, Standards Alignment, and Minimum Requirements. Resources on CLRN are approved for legal compliance only, resources are NOT state adopted.
